Facilitating Safe Mobility for Seniors

Eldersafety.org provides you with information, training, and resources to help you improve the safe mobility of seniors in your community. Please note that this site is less frequently updated because we no longer receive funds to support it. All work on this site is now done by volunteers. As of August 2011 the "Find An Occupational Therapist" resource will be current and maintained by the OTAC.

The mission of our Safe Mobility Program is to facilitate a collaborative, public health systems approach to increase the number of California's seniors who remain safely mobile in their communities and are able to successfully age in place.

Providing a Wealth of Effective Resources and Information

Check out Models for Success to learn more about effective approaches to improving senior safe mobility. If you are a health care provider, visit our section on health care resources and referral information.

Eldersafety.org is a project of the Occupational Therapy Association of California with assistance from the Center for Injury Prevention Policy and Practice at San Diego State University.
